Mrs. Stacy Zeitz, Life Skills
Originally from Chicago, Illinois I have now lived in NY longer than I lived there, but I could not be any happier. I married and have 2 children and am a proud parent of both a Shalhevet and Rambam graduate. Over the past 4 years I have watched as the girls of Shalhevet have grown into amazing young women and I was glad to be a part of it. I stood on the sidelines cheering at softball and basketball games and was more than happy to help at any events the school had including baking what many people say are my famous chocolate chip cookies. As an educator in the public sector for over 25 years and for the past 15 working in administration for preschool special education, I started to realize I missed teaching. So when the opportunity to teach 12 grade girls Life Skills came along I jumped at the chance. I have developed a close relationship with these girls outside of the classroom over the past few years and I felt that the course on Life Skills suited me. I have seen firsthand the importance of being able to navigate and negotiate life and getting a head start in high school is a great idea.
