Esther and Jeff Leb
Parents of the Year
Esther and Jeff Leb live in Cedarhurst, daven at Kehilas Bais Yisroel, and are the proud parents of Atara, a junior at MSH, Chesky, who attends Yeshiva in Brooklyn, and Blima, Kayla and Shay, who attend Torah Academy for Girls. Esther is a CPA for a special education school in Queens, and is involved in a variety of chesed projects, including being instrumental in the creation of Project Machal – a program that anonymously provides food at supermarkets for free, to families that are undergoing financial difficulties. Jeff’s career in government includes his work for the NYC Council and Office of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He then worked at the Orthodox Union and the UJA Federation of New York, before founding Capitol Consulting, which does lobbying work in local, state and federal government. He is also active in political campaigns and sits on the board of the Peninsula Public Library, which serves the Five Towns. Esther and Jeff are proud members of the Midreshet Shalhevet family, and grateful to its exemplary leadership and for the education and values that the school provides to the community.
